years. Every level of the org chart.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I started in the trades at 19 \u2014 first in HVAC, then as a union electrical apprentice in 1986. Over the next three and a half decades I worked on light commercial, industrial, government, data centers, and medical facilities across some of the most demanding projects in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I kept seeing wasn&#8217;t a technical problem. It was a leadership problem. Foremen were chosen because they could install product fast. Nobody taught them how to lead people. As projects got more complex and timelines compressed, the senior leaders who used to mentor the next generation didn&#8217;t have time anymore. Errors compounded. Frustrations ran high. Good people started asking whether the extra ten percent was worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That question stuck with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6be12656ce71c6c452facd3d0a6a8eb9 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#e8702a;font-size:13px;text-transform:uppercase\">Why Triple C<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I had to figure out how to lead in my own style before I could teach anyone else.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m a C and S on the DISC profile \u2014 reserved, analytical, process-oriented. My natural style didn&#8217;t fit the construction industry&#8217;s default model of leadership. So I started studying. In 2004 a Tony Robbins event planted the idea that structured coaching could change how leaders operate. But his approach wasn&#8217;t mine \u2014 and it wasn&#8217;t most of the construction leaders I knew either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I was looking for was a practical framework for leaders who lead quietly. Who think before they speak. Who want to build trust and accountability without burning the job down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Triple C came out of everything I observed across 36 years on the job. Three things separate the leaders who hold up from the ones who break down: Clarity, Commitment, and Courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fb0d23f49fe61c84d5c209ee53566c68 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#e8702a;font-size:13px;text-transform:uppercase\">The Framework<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Three words. One operating standard.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clarity \u2014 Think clearly. Communicate precisely. Remove the ambiguity that creates rework, conflict, and wasted effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commitment \u2014 Follow through. Build a reputation as someone whose word holds \u2014 with your team, your clients, and yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Courage \u2014 Move forward. Make the call. Have the hard conversation. It just doesn&#8217;t announce itself.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8db811c1a9bd584173421c5d45c92e7c wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b4b2a9\">Most construction leaders don&#8217;t talk about this. Not with their crew, not with their boss, and not with their spouse \u2014 because who wants to hear it, and why would you burden the people you&#8217;re trying to protect?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a5acf7462fc12dbe4dc36e358c16f589 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"border-top-color:#e8702a;border-right-color:#e8702a;border-bottom-color:#e8702a;border-left-color:#e8702a;border-left-width:3px;color:#b4b2a9;padding-left:26px\">So it doesn&#8217;t get talked about. It shows up instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1a085ca3087424eacb75bfd2e793b8dc wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b4b2a9\">Short fuse at dinner. Checked out on the weekend. Half-present at the things that matter. The people closest to you absorb what the job produces, even when they don&#8217;t know that&#8217;s what they&#8217;re absorbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-768d870adf3bf4a495368330e674c935 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b4b2a9\">This isn&#8217;t a personal failure. It&#8217;s what chronic pressure does when it has nowhere to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-867ec4501fe201a86a9ede4410f86510 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#b4b2a9\">Part of what we work on is this \u2014 not as a therapy exercise, but as a performance issue. A leader who can&#8217;t decompress doesn&#8217;t recover. A leader who doesn&#8217;t recover makes worse decisions.
